I have been given this product as part of a product review through the Chronic Illness Bloggers network. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company.
Fresh Assist® helps you Get Clean In Between™. It is an eco-friendly product that helps cleanse and soothes your backside after going to the bathroom. This is a great alternative to wet wipes and can be used with any brand of toilet paper.
The basic ingredients in Fresh Assist include water, essential oils, emulsifiers, and preservatives. There are some mild scents to the spray but the company claims that the smell is only from the oils. Nothing compares to it on the market. The closest thing on the market that would be comparable would be the wet wipes which are sold by the variety of companies and are marketed for adults and then there is the baby wipe. Wet wipes generally cost around three to ten cents per wipe. You can buy them in bulk at the big warehouse stores or in smaller sizes at many drugs, grocery, baby, and large retail stores. There have been several news stories on the problems wipes are causing to municipal sewer and water treatment plants. In addition, despite the containers saying the wipes are flushable, they do get stuck in toilets creating the need for plunger work and in some cases calling in a professional plumber.
Currently, two scents are available: Soothing Lavender and Cooling Chamomile. Refreshing Rosemary is currently being tested and will be available soon. We have big plans for more cool and creative scents including ones designed specifically for females, males, and kids. You can purchase it here from Amazon.

How did it work for me?
This is a great product. Knowing “flushable” wipes really shouldn’t be flushed, I was looking for a better alternative. I thought that dampening the toilet paper might cause piling, but it doesn’t. The bottles are small enough to make it through TSA screening, which is a big plus. I like both scents, but think the chamomile is closed to a neutral scent. Much easier to take along than a packet of wipes. Particularly useful for IBD and IBS folks who need to be extra gentle with their poor beleaguered bottom.
After years of having Ulcerative Colitis, going to the bathroom a lot is a normal daily activity. So having a bum that is sore and rare is not an abnormal thing. To have a product that helps clean your bottom and soothes it at the same time is a blessing. With UC, you have a tendency, like with most IBS and IBD, you can even get sores very easy. But what’s not easy is finding something to help sooth you. Fresh Assist really works and I would really recommend it to just about everyone.
Fresh Assist is easy on your back side and your plumbing. It is easy to use and comfortable on your skin and bum. Here is the website to look into purchasing this for yourself. Don’t you think that your bum is worth it? Try it out for yourself.
